Any scientific research project from a university or research institution in Geneva that aims to launch a new product, process, or service addressing a social or economic need and with potential market demand. To be eligible, the project must aim to establish a company in the Canton of Geneva within 12 months.

The FIF Grant is awarded to the project leader and, where possible, its terms can be adapted to their needs. It cannot be used as equity to establish a company.

Are you developing an innovative product or service that is hard to replicate and has strong growth potential?

The FIF supports technological innovation projects, particularly those coming from the University of Geneva, the local Universities of Applied Sciences (HES), and Geneva-based research institutions. It also supports innovative companies in their early stages (startups) as well as scale-ups and SMEs registered in the Geneva Commercial Register.
